Overview

SALOMON is a UV-visible balloon-borne spectrometer designed, like AMON, to acquire vertical profiles of ozone, nitrogen, chlorine and bromine species and the extinction coefficient of aerosols, at altitudes between 15 and 40 km. SALOMON is contributing to validation programmes for the ODIN and ENVISAT satellites.

Product information

SALOMON data sets are available from Ether for the period 1998-10-31 to 2006-01-16. The data are level 2 vertical profiles. They were provided by Jean-Baptiste Renard at LPC2E/CNRS.
