The GEISA-2015 spectroscopic databaseThe development of GEISA (Gestion et Etude des Informations Spectroscopiques Atmosphériques : Management and Study of Spectroscopic Information) was started in 1976 at Laboratoire de Météorologie Dynamique (LMD) in France [Chédin et al. (1982)], and regularly updated [Husson et al. (1992, 1994), Jacquinet-Husson et al. (1999, 2003a, 2003b, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2016), Armante et al (2016). GEISA is a computer-accessible spectroscopic database, designed to facilitate accurate forward atmospheric radiative transfer calculations using a line-by-line and (atmospheric) layer-by-layer In the current weeks are being implemented: - The on line access to the microphysical and optical properties of atmospheric aerosols GEISA-2015 sub-database. For this GEISA new edition, a significant update (since the last one in 2003) occurred thanks to complementary data from NCAR (Massie's contribution) and from the ARIA archive developed at Oxford University. The former content remains available on line from GEISA-2011 access; - The graphical tools associated to the line parameters sub-database.
Supplemental data will be also available in the current months. They contains partial or complete information about transition parameters of Earth and planetary atmosphere molecules. Those data were not introduced in the current GEISA-2015 on line edition, but could be of interest for the scientist community :
