The AMON Instrument: Absorption by the Minor components Ozone and NOx

The AMON mission

AMON is a UV-visible spectrometer which can be carried under stratospheric balloons, designed to obtain vertical profiles of ozone, nitrogen and chlorine molecules and the coefficient of aerosol extinction, at altitudes between 15 and 40 km. AMON data have been used for the ENVISAT validation campaigns.

Data available from AERIS/ESPRI

AMON data sets are available from Ether for the period 1992-05-22 to 2003-03-02 ; the data are level 2 vertical profiles. They were provided by Jean-Baptiste Renard at LPC2E/CNRS.
The access to the data is open. For publication and acknowledgments, please contact the PI (J.-B. Renard)
